Candidates may download the appplication form and send it along with a demand draft of Rs. 400/- in favour of Principal, Food Craft Institute, Udaipur. For SC/ST the Cost of form is Rs 200/-

Candidates can also get the application form from the institute by sending a demand draft of Rs. 450/- and for SC/ST candidates a D.D. of 250/- in favour of Principal, Food Craft Institute, Udaipur.

The Remaining Seats in all Trade Diploma Courses Will be Filled on "First Come First Served" Basis.

Eligibility  

Minimum qualification is 12th Pass under 10+2 System for admission in any of the four trade diploma courses.

Reception work calls for public relations and skill in dealing with people of different types. It is here that a client makes his first personal contact with the establishment and forms his first impressions. It is also here that he gets all the information and advice required for his stay. It means that to work in the front office department speech and personality are essential characteristics and knowledge of languages is as asset. The work also entails book keeping, handling of cash and dealing with correspondence. The one-year craft course takes all these aspects into account.

House Keeping
Hotel and institutional house keeping is of primary importance. The work taking charge of domestic service, dealing with guest comfort, all supervising, organizing of work routines, supervising linen supply, knowledge of maintenance of premises, furnishing and décor, textiles and flower arrangements. The course in this craft aims at specialized training, with ample job opportunities in the hospitality industry.

Food & Beverages Department is essential for the successful running of every Hotel & Catering Industry. It requires extensive planning and considerable amount of skill in organizing many great functions. Today, F & B Manager or Maitre d’ hotel and the full brigade of captains, stewards, Chef de Rang enjoy good positions with high salaries in the Hotel Industry as well as Society. Good opportunities are in store in this field and there is ample scope for faster promotions.

Food Production

Food Production is the very heart of any successful catering venture. The work is very practical & of creative nature. While small hotels employ apprentice cooks, assistant cooks and cooks, larger establishment provide chefs de cuisine. A head chef controls this key department with large array of staff and is required to be both skilled practitioner and an able organizer. Good chef commands high salaries and are among the highest paid professionals in the hospitality industry.

 

2. Certificate Courses

Food Production

The institute under takes six months certificate courses which are as follows.

 
  • Post graduate certificate course in front desk and rooms management for which graduation is the minimum qualification for admission.
    - Age is no bar.
     
  • Steward certificate course has 10th class pass as minimum qualification.
    - Age is no bar.
     
  • Food production course also has minimum qualification as 10th class .
    - Age is no bar.
     
    Food Production

    The institute conducts two programmes free of cost under “Huner se Rozgar tak scheme” Under Capacity Building for Service Provider sponsored by Govt. of India. The programmes are:

    Waiter Cum House Man : 6 Weeks Duration
    Food Production : 8 Weeks Duration
     
    The Certificates will be awarded by the Food Craft Institute ( Rajasthan ) Society.
     
    'Hunar Se Rozgar Tak' Scheme
     
    Qualification : Minimum 8th pass.
    Age : Not less than 18 year and not more than 28 year.
    Attendance Criteria: 90% to qualify for stipend and end of course exam certification.

    Any person working in the industry but not having any formal education in hospitality.
    Any person already employed in Food & Beverage Service or Food Production in the hotel or allied industry.
    Duration of the course – 6 Days (5 days orientation 1 days testing and certification).
    Wage Loss Compensation – Rs 200/- per day is payable to each candidate.
    Application in prescribed from forwarded by the employer/organization.

Four of our students have received National Award for Academic Excellence one each in Cookery Production, Housekeeping Operations and two in Front Office Operations over the years. One of the Student receiving award for front office from Sh. Subodh Kant Sahai, Honorable Minister for Tourism Govt. of India at Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi for the session 2010-2011.
